What to Look for in a Florist
Every florist is different.
It's hard to find the right florist that fits you and your wedding. Here are some tips for finding your perfect florist.
Does the florist have a contract?
If your florist has a contract, it doesn't only protect them but you as well. Florist with contracts have been doing flowers for a long time & have seen a thing or two. They know how to protect all parties involved & you will know what to expect.
Does your florist have photos of their work?
Do they have photos of work they have done or can they only show you "look books" created by a large scale company? After many years florist slack on taking photos, but will always have photos of some of their favorite bouquets. If they don't, they usually fit into one of three groups. First, they don't care anymore. Second, they don't have experience or lack confidence. Third, they are very old school & only know one style.
Does your quote tell you what is in each item?
Does the quote say bridal bouquet $X.xx or does it show Bridal Bouquet, cascading, with pink roses, white anemones, lavender stock? If your florist isn't willing to tell you what types of flowers they are putting into your items how do you know they have it right?
Not all bouquets are created equal.
While most florist won't give you exact stem counts on things for fear of you taking that to someone else, most should be willing to talk to you about sizing options. One florist's bouquet may cost $400 but be the size of a dinner plate while, another may be $150, but the size of a tea cup.
Does your florist let you make adjustments to your quote?
Just because you went over one thing doesn't mean you should be held to that. Make sure your florist allows you to make adjustments whether it is colors, flowers, or even asking them what you can do to make something cheaper. They should be more than willing to help with any of that up to until the time they place the order for flowers with the vendors/growers.

Prices can vary greatly and we are always happy to tweak, adjust, or change quotes to fit your budget. I have done wedding flowers that have costed $36, all the way up to $12,000.
